The 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11, the First Manned Landing on the Moon and the Critical Contributions by the NASA Glenn Research Center:  This presentation commemorates the first manned lunar landing with a general overview of the mission. It also explains the contributions by the NASA Glenn Research Center which were fundamental to enable the mission. These contributions include application of propulsion technologies to solve significant problems with Saturn V launch vehicle and Apollo spacecraft, launch of robotic missions, leadership/integration/day-of-launch operations of two launch vehicle programs, and executive leadership by Cleveland alumni of initial pre-Apollo related efforts.
